Would Brad Penny Help the Angels?

I think he'd really help the Angels as the 5th starter so they can send Bell back down. All Penny would need to do is eat innings.

I think he would be very good back in the NL but at this point might as well give him a shot if your the Angels, hes still throwing very hard. There was some talk in Boston tonight that he will probably be released.

Wow, I heard about the possibility driving home tonight but didnt realze it already happened. After just reading about it I cant believe he asked to be released.

Yes, he would definitely help the Angels. He would help them fall out of first place in the AL West and most likely help them fall out of any chance at a wildcard spot as well.

He's a perfect pick up!

So if another team picks him up what sort of compensation do the Red Sox get? Do they have to work out a trade or get draft picks?
