I can't speak to their level of customer service as I have never submitted anything to them, but people that have, speak very highly of them. They seem to be the most respected grading company by the guys over on Net54 and they participate in that board as well. Whenever, an issue popped up, SGC is on it right away and they do what needs to be done to make it right.

As for their grading and slab, they are the way to go for pre-war. That seems to be their niche. Personally, I would only buy a pre-war card graded by them. I think they have the best slab as well. It's beefier than PSA's and the black frame inside really sets off the card.

I also have never submitted to them, but I believe that they are pretty consistent from the cards I have purchased.

SGC is the best in the business, better than PSA, BVG, etc. Not to mention the black inserts in the slab look fantastic!

For me if it is Vintage SGC gets my vote, but if I was selling the card later (non-vintage) I would go with the others maybe

For vintage cards, they are very, very good. The cards dsiplay well in the holder and their customer service is outstanding. (PSA is lacking in this department IMO.)

One card or 100 cards...dealer or private collector, they grade very consistantly.

Highly recommended.

Very good input everyone. Thank You for taking the time to do so.

What i love about slabs is that being someone that buys 99+% of his stuff online,
it gives me peace of mind knowing what i am bidding on, and what is coming to
me in the mail.

i do not think that PSA will ever lose the stronghold they have on vintage slabs.
They are just waaaay too out infront of everyone else.

i have no beef with PSA, but there slabs leave a lot to be desired, imo.

another question i have about SGC slabs. Can the cards in the slab move and
give the impression of being "diamond cut", when they actually arent?

like this:

witht he BVG Slabs, the plastic inner sleeve tends to keep the card still and flat, enabling the viewer to
judge

I have never had an issue with "floaters". (Well, I did that one night after I had a bad burrito, but I digress....)

I also recommend graded card sleeves for your slabs.

Their customer service is the best in the business. I will always submit to them. They also have very fair prices. PSA is so expensive. F that S.
