Would Mike Trout's 2009 Bowman Chrome 1/1 Superfractor sell for over a million dollars if it was sold now?

I just read that a Trout 2009 Bowman Chrome Red Refractor auto /5 sold for $900,000 so I'm thinking his Superfractor auto would definitely fetch over a million dollars. Do you think that would be the case?

I think the answer is most definitely yes. I could see 1.5 million for it.

I agree and that's insane. I remember seeing the superfractor for sale on eBay for $1500 back in 2010 and wanted to purchase it but was out of work at the time so I couldn't.

Had you gotten it then, you could be out of work forever starting today! ;)

Yeah, you just never know. I also sold 2- 2000 Playoff Contenders Tom Brady autographed rookies back in 2006 for less than $500 apiece.

In today's madness, especially of late, I would not be surprised to see this card sell between 2-3 million and if that isn't ridiculous enough, perhaps maybe more. To me that's absolutely absurd but so is 900 grand for a Red auto so I would be shocked by nothing anymore at this point.

I've told this story before, but I sold a 2009 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Unopened 10-box Hobby case at the National in Baltimore for $2,000. It was the going rate at the time, basically $200 a box.
The last 2 most recent boxes sold for $4,750 and $6,750 respectively.

Yeah, what's going on right now with so many cards blowing up really makes you think twice about selling certain cards. It makes you wonder if you're selling too soon which I've done with more than my share of cards. Then again, I've also waited too long to sell cards, too, before they took a steep drop in value. You just have to use your best judgment.

I sold a Dylan Carlson gold auto a couple of months ago for 900$ I. Did not think second about it...lol

It is a tough thing to estimate. The way the base trout rookies are surging is crazy already. 2011 updates are now 800-1000 range and beckett projects that the update will be a $1000 card at its peak.

I dumped an aquino (sp?) Reds blue refractor auto for $10. I didn't think he was going to be a legit prospect, and well he sure blew up last year.... homer simpson says Doh!
