I'd much rather have a prospect in his major league uniform.

For example,

Shelby Miller in Quad Cities Uniform < Shelby Miller in STL Cardinals Uniform

If Miller happens to make the bigs after three more years (he isn't there yet is he) and you collected him ten years from now when he's on the Yankees after never making the Cardinals roster, which uni would be best?

The minor league unis are much cooler.

The 'royal treatment' BC provides prospects is making them look like they've accomplished something they have not,

Only if you're the kind of person that needs warning labels on chainsaws to tell you they're dangerous. I'm glad baseball cards are now moron-proof.

this is due to Topps' exemption as we know. A MiLB license/revocation of that license returns BC back to a healthy reality and a more stable foundation upon which to build, particularly to those interested in MiLB cards.

How is this returning Bowman chrome to anything? Your memory must be skewed to a time where Bowman was only about Major league debut rookies, like back in 1995 with Vladimir Guerero, no wait he was a minor leaguer. Maybe 1993 with Derek Jeter,,,,nope again, well DEFINATELY in 1991 with Chipper Jones,,,,aw crud, your point makes no sense. Bowman & Bowman chrome has never been about the designation between major or minor leagues, it has been about showcasing PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYERS with their associated franchise, often providing their first appearance on cardboard thus becoming Home of the ROOKIE CARD.

Bowman Chrome without first year cards will be worthless and everyone knows it.

I guess what you're really looking for is a set that only shows Major League Debut cards. That would truly be amazing, and a sure fire success. True collectors aren't interested in the first appearance of a player if its a silly draft pick card, or a Team USA card, they want the real MLB debut rookie. I guarantee if they ever did a set like that, it would sell like hotcakes.

The fact that these cards would show them in minor league uniforms is very important because that image CLEARLY piants them as minor league cards.

Non chromies can call BC cards "minor league" cards all they like but the fact remains that most people consider them true rookie cards based mostly on the brand and team uniform.

So, would minor league uniforms scare off chromies?

It really wouldnt scare me off but I can tell you for sure that it will make selling these cards a whole lot harder to casual collectors once a player gets hot.
