i am not a buyer of razor, nor do i dislike the company, but i was wondering. razor has several exclusive contracts with some big time prospect, so the question is, if topps went to razor, remember they are a business, and said we want x amount of autos of smoak, hosner, beckham and wallace to be included in bcdp. what would it cost?

Question: Would you feel betrayed? might be a good poll question.

Well, considering Razor has stated since they started that this could happen, it'd be tough to feel betrayed. Personally, I think I and most other people would be extremely happy if that happened.

I know I would because I would much rather have a Bowman Chrome blue/gold refractor auto then any of those gold razor metal cards autographed. I bet I am in the majority.

Would i feel betrayed, not at all. Would i lose interest in Razor, probably. The one thing i really like is the exclusivity and if that goes away, then they lose their advantage imo

I have to disagree with this as they had not stated this for the the player's which the OP listed (in fact BG said otherwise in one of Beefy's interview's & basically said due to the way he was responded to by the other company's when he notified them of his "Exclusive" intention's, that this would not be the case if they came to him in the future requesting said player's)- although it was inferred that Wieter's would be "leased-out"; due to being so near to the big's.
However, I am in full agreement that I would be ecstatic on the idea of Hosmer/Alvarez/Matusz/Wallace+++ to be featured on a B.Chrome card!!! ...So very ecstatic (the possibilities would be endless)! :lol:

Those of you heavily invested in guys like Beckham thinking that he will only be produced in 3 products. How would you feel if he was inserted into Bowman Chrome as an auto?

I would think it would kill your investment.

I know LRM guys can be. Ryan Zimmerman wouldn't sign on the Nats caravans this year because he is LRM exclusive.

I think it would be par for the course if Razor sold the exclusive rights and honestly, I think I'd be happier getting those guys' cards in a Topps trading card product like Bowman rather than a Razor XYZ.

I think that if Razor did lease their players to Topps for a Bowman release, would it be possible for them to limit how many autos the player could sign? So they could only produce refractors and rarer, no base autos.

I'd love it if Razor allowed Topps and Upper Deck access to its exclusive list of players.
I despise exclusive contracts and think it's bad for the hobby.
Diversity and having options are one of the things that make this hobby great.
