I was looking at an item from a seller that had me a bit concerned about placing a bid and was wondering what people thought.

1. Seller has 100% positive feedback with over 1500 feedbacks.
2. Is located in the Philippines
3. Has not sold anything in the last year.
4. Of their sales before then (a couple hundred) they were all lowish end and mostly things like cheaper watches and the like.
5. They are all of a sudden selling a whole bunch of really high-end cards
6. The pictures/scans are on many different surfaces (IMO highly unlikely that the scans are the sellers own, though it could be that they purchased items in the past and saved the scans.)
7. The seller has not placed a bid on any sports related items in the last year.

My gut tells me people are about to get ripped off, but I was wondering what other people thought?

Thanks

That does seem a little sketchy. Personally I stay away from overseas with only a few exceptions. With the couple red flags this seller has, I'd be more comfortable purchasing from someone else.

Buyers have no reason to be concerned at all on eBay, but if you are just pay with your credit card and then you are backed up by your bank and paypal/eBay

I'm not quite as convinced as I used to be after I had a major issue on a recent purchase that eBay gave me a really hard time with. I know you can go to the CC after Paypal makes a decision, but it is a really long, time consuming process.

Having lived in the Philippines on and off for the last three years, I will tell you this. It is very unlikely you will recieve a card from there. The postage system is dreadful and courier service is pretty expensive. It will most likely be stolen by someone in the postal chain.

1. Seller has well over 100% positive feedback with over 1500 feedbacks.
Thanks

Well over 100%? That's hard to do...

That's what happens when you edit without paying attention lol. I was going to right way over 1000 feedback, but changed the wording.

A guy tried to screw me on an "around Ebay" transaction on an 800 dollar bryce harper auto and i filed a dispute with paypal and had my money back in around 3 weeks. I would figure you would be even more protected with ebay and even more with a credit card. Three weeks is a long time to have that amount of money tied up trust me, but if you figure somethings up or fishy with the transaction you need to make a move asap. They locked this guys paypal account up and screwed him up big time until he refunded the money....Anyways good luck!
