I was tired of seeing your daily threads about Montero and found it funny how you kept trying to convince everyone you werent trying to hype up your sales more by posting "Look what I got!!/OMG Montero hits this today/Wow is Montero good!"

....then to say "Oh yeah by the way im selling these"

At least you finally admitted it.

And to respond to your claim that FCB has a nominal affect on card sales, you should really rethink that.

Swarzak hasn't played in the majors yet, and I think he was referring to 2009. For those purposes, Neshek should probably not count either, but still a solid list of guys.

Swarzak was called up last year after the All-Star break and had a 3-7 record for them. Neshek didn't play for the Twins last season but over 3 season has a 11 - 5 record with a 2.91 record.

If you are looking strictly at 2009, fine, take Neshek off the list. Show me a team with more than 16 guys on their MLB roster. Im not taking the time to look at the Royals, Pirates, Marlins or Rays, as those are the only teams off the top of my head that may come close to 16 guys. I dont know where vwnut was going with his request for home grown talent, but they Yankees are no where near the top.

25 Man roster:
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd ... Id=rss_mlb

Royals, Pirates, Marlins, Nationals and Rays are in the bottom 7 for teams that had the most home grown players in 2009 on their 25 man roster.

Yankees in 2010:

Jorge Posada
Francisco Cervelli
Nick Johnson
Robinson Cano
Derek Jeter
Brett Gardner
Andy Pettitte
Joba Chamberlain
Phil Hughes
Mariano Rivera
David Robertson

And those are just the guys guaranteed to make the 25 man roster.

I stand corrected, I am amazed by the number for the Yankees, I really didnt think there was anyway they could be near the top half. :o

It makes sense if you think about it. The Yankees have the funds to keep their players. Teams like the Rays end up having to trade the best players when they get too expensive for other people's cheap players. The Yankees make strategic trades and high end free agent signings, but only to complement the players they have, so it isn't a large percentage from others. Of course, the Yankee's non homegrown player is Mark Teixeira, whereas the Rays might have a Matt Joyce. Thats the difference.

The buyer got the card, signed for it and confirmed by email.

Looks like a good deal.

actually, I love this thread

It provides something that a community desperately needs. Entertainment.

When you think about it, that's the one thing that most communities don't have.

So yes! Do what you do people, but by all means ENTERTAIN ME!
