I don't find much comparison in someone looking for a steal and someone deliberately fashioning an auction to bait an unassuming buyer.

To me, most steals are the market speaking to the true value of the hobby. In most cases, it only takes one or two bidders to drive an auction to the point that most would be unwilling to bid. If that is true, I find it to be a reflection of an unsustainable market value.

Creative advertisement on the other hand is intentional deception.

Steals are nothing more than a buyer paying what they're willing to pay and no other buyers finding it prudent to pay any higher.

Well, everything needed for an accurate description of what your buying is in fact within the description. Having said that, I too think it's low class to do what he is doing. And further more, there is zero chance that this is not on purpose. To not label this as a blaster box, with 8 retail packs first and formost (and not just hidden in a bunch of text) is pure swindeling. He should e-mail the buyer once the auction is over, and be sure they know they are buying an 8 pack retail blaster box before billing/shiping.

Then why put "Strasburg auto?" in the title when they are not in blasters if he's not trying to deceive people?

I in fact agree with you!
