In all seriousness mig-how old are ya? Where ya from? I never heard your backstory as I know many of the people on here. How did you start collecting Cabbage Patch? He's a decent player that doesn't get alot of love. Just wondering.

im 18.

Ok, here is how it goes
Im a huge red sox fan
in 2003 when my parents thought i was old enough to attend red sox games alone or w/ friends, I became hooked, i went down to fenway for every game even when i didnt have tickets, me and my friends would hang out on lansdowne or watch the game with the rest of the fans at the game on bar big screen, 2003 was the year of the red sox huge playoff collapse, and i was down there for every home game, for the playoffs that year game on bar had three big screens out front, one to have the sox on and the others to have other playoff games on

the 2003 nlcs had miguel cabrera in it, and he became my favorite player, i had never heard of him before the plyoffs and for someone so young to have so many clutch hits, incuding three homers in the NLCS, i dont know i just liked the way he played and he became my favorite player
in 2008 when i started collecting cards it was only natural for me to have a PC of him.

There is no possible way you are 18 years old with grammar and paragraph structure like that.

this is an online forum, why should someone care if their grammar or "paragraph structure" is done correctly. If you understand the point than why complain..I just dont understand it, it's as if these boards are becoming more and more like my english class.

to stay on this topic, make sure when you get the card, compare the size of a raw vs the graded card 1st.

i really wish i kept the serial # on my purchase but i am almost certain that is the same, exact card i bought last year

i posted on beckett and most of the members told me to compare the size of raw vs the graded card

of course, it was too good to be true because it was 100% trimmed at the bottom. you could tell because of 2 things. one, the card in the *** case was much smaller than all the raw cards i compared it to (around 10 different cards from topps, ud, donruss, etc). two, there's some sort of plastic foil in the back and it was peeling off from the bottom like crazy on the bottom edge.

make sure to look for those things when u get it in hand

dave

btw, after i inspected the card and knew it was trimmed, i contacted the seller and he gave me a full refund. no questions asked. i just sent the card back to him. im pretty sure he knew too

$300+ for an auto of a future Non-HOF'er. Where's the rolling eyes when you need 'em??

Future Non-HOF'er?

Do you really believe that or were you messing with him? I'd say Miguel's as on-pace for the HOF as anyone his age on the planet.

But don't take my word for it:

Don't bring me the stats. I have seen them. I was just taking shots at miguelcabrera. The kid is a great player and as long as he doesn't eat himself out of the league, he'll be fine.

Gotcha, i figured as much but will take any opportunity to go look up Miggy stats. The kid is on another plane. Imagine if he could see his toes!
