How do you Met fans feel about this move?Personally I love it.Beltran takes his spot in the 3 hole until Wright gets his **** together.

Results of the first game with these changes.

Mets lose

I know this happened when Beltran first joined the team but Wright has grown as a player since then so its an interesting move(not that interesting)

when and where is Beltran being traded, thats the question

Yep.

And since when is batting .310 not having your "stuff" together?

Have watched Wright hit at all this season? He looks terrible.

16K's at this point in the season is too many for a guy with the talent Wright has

Nope haven't seen him hit yet and 16 Ks is high for Wright, but he's gotta be doing something right if he's batting .310...even if it is still early in the year.

This whole team is a bunch of wimps (for lack of a better word). The only gamers on this team are Chruch and Murph (he has to be). Wright needs to man the heck up and take control this is his team to loose. Not that Im a beltran "hater" but if I could trade him and someone else (small) for a REAL #2 starter I would do that in a heartbeat. Then stick Freel in center for the time being.

Why would the Mets possibly deal Beltran? He's by FAR the only good thing they have in their outfield, without him they're completely lost. What are you going to move Church to center and have Sheffield and Murphy in the corners? Am I missing something or is this just uninformed chatter?

The Mets have 4 players that they "could" trade

Johan Santana
Carlos Beltran
Jose Reyes
David White

Are you serious? He has been getting on base when it's either two outs or no-one is on base. Every other at bat he's been striking out or hitting into a inning ending double play

Ryan Freel is actually an above average fielder. Given the chance to play everyday his bat might come around. Ryan Church is also an above fielder. So 1 liability either murph or shef playin in a corner is not bad at all. Especially if deal be;tran gets us a #2 starter.

Unfortunately, Freel is on the DL with (yet another?) head injury

I really don't see anything to worry about.

Yes Wright is having some trouble. He will get hot sooner or later.

The Line-up shake up is great, scored 8 runs, the real problem is and will be going forward the 20 left on base. That is a huge #. Also today's loss was not helped by Sheff going 0-5. He hit 500, now send him packing. He has nothing to offer.
