I so wanted the Xander Bogaerts Super 1/1...

This was #1 on my collector want list for the year..

I opened the checkbook and it wasn't enough.. Bid 3001.00 and DENIED..it's sold next bid up 3051.00..

It is now a certainty he will be great..
If I had won, look out below..

While I am sick to lose it, congrats to the winner (and Xander since this will mean certain success)...

fwiw, The buyer's snipe could have been for $5,000, So don't think you lost the bid by only $50. You may have but you will never know unless the buyer lets you know.

Next time, instead of publicly proclaiming that you're going hard after a card, perhaps you might want to lay low. Alerting everyone that they're going to have to "open their checkbooks" to get a certain card will cause them to do just that! LOL. Better luck with the next one on your want list.

Honestly, if I had gone 5000.00 , I might have lost too..

However, my reasoning was if 5000.00 gets it done (meaning wossa wasn't THAT hot for it), 3000.00 would probably get it done.

It's not like I wanted to cost wossa money.. I wanted to win the card..

I guess I'll put all that hard earned money into my number 2 investment guy... BG

He's just upset that I didn't want to pay 5.00 shipping on a 420.00 deal which HE came to ME on and I made an offer.. And we both walked away NO DEAL over 5.00..

No biggie.. Plenty of cards to buy..

Russ- What's the big deal? There are many, many members here that have more than one account, who cares? I would imagine at the very least, he would have a personal account as well as one (or multiple) accounts for Leaf buying. Just because Brian still has hair doesn't mean you need to be a little bitch towards him.
