I had a Wii , but then I bought a 360 a few days before MW2 came out (and now I have it). All of my friends already had 360s so that made my choice easier to get it so I can play with them and whatnot.

The only thing that would motivate me to get a 360 over a PS3 is Fable 2 or Left 4 Dead 2. Other than that, PS3 has a better game selection when it comes to exclusives.

I also wouldn't want to pay a fee to use my console to play online.

I'm a PS man through and through. When Final Fantasy drops, I want to play it. The controller fits in my hands better and has a better layout. Plus it plays blu-rays.

Loved my PS1 and PS2. Never had an original Xbox. When the 360 came out, I picked one up. Maybe a year after the PS3 came out, I bought one of those as well. Anyways, the PS3 broke after having owned it for less than 6 months and Sony refused to help. So I told them to eat a d*$# and sold all my Sony stuff and I've just got the 360 left.

I personally like the 360s UI better, and regardless of cost the online is better. Also, and again this is simply a matter of personal preference, I like the 360 controller much better. The original PS3 controllers were way too light, which the new ones have helped alleviate, but the 360s ergonomic design and especially the trigger buttons seal the deal there. In games like racing and FPSs, the 360 trigger buttons work so much better than the L2 and R2 buttons. Obviously, most games are common to both consoles. However, you're always going to find a couple exclusives on either side to fawn over, and I'd say that I'm comfortable with what the 360 has.

If I could change just one thing about the 360, it would be the relatively closed accessory system. The wireless headset is $50 and a 120 GB hard drive is $100+? I mean come on Microsoft. Both have to be nearly pure profit. Also, with the HUGE power supply that the 360 has you'd think that it would automatically switch from 120 to 240 volts, like most consumer electronics. Nope; I know plenty of people who fried power supplies in Iraq. Fortunately, MS would come through after a simple phone call and forward the troops new ones.

It seems like whenever this topic gets brought up anywhere, a holy war breaks out. There are plenty of people on both sides. The way I see it, if you're happy with your console decision then why should you need any affirmation from other people?

I have an original X-Box and I've played the 360 and while I like them both and to me Halo are some killer games, I'm a Playstation man through and through. I have PS1 games a PS2 with 60+ games and a PS3 with 15 games (give or take). I love the PS3 and it's held up VERY nice for me. About a year-and-a-half I've owned it with NO problems at all!

I'm a PS guy but voted 360. The PS3 has so much potential, one thing though the browser is an absolute piece of shat. I got the YLOD on mine and it would cost $150 for Sony to repair their faulty hardware. BS.

For online gaming the 360 reigns supreme by about 456 million miles.

I have both and the Sony is nothing more than a cheap Blu-Ray player. When it comes to gaming the thing gets dusty.

I have all three systems.

The Wii has it's games that are good for the family.

The Playstation 3 I luckily bought when you could play the PS2 games on it. The graphics are the best in my opinion.

The Xbox360 I agree has the best online gaming. However, I also got that red rings of death crap and didn't buy a warranty. I just bought the modern warfare set up, and that game is VERY addicting. I saw a way to fix the xbox online, I guess it's all about over heating and better ventilation. You have to buy longer screws and a paste to fix it.

I'm sorta scared to attempt it, but it is worthless right now.

I love Madden and GTA4 on PS3. Wolfenstein is pretty good on Xbox360 if your into killing nazis.

I didn't have a warranty either I thought I heard everyone could get them fixed due to a bad batch. I did some online thing they sent me a box and had it back to me in 2 weeks

Hard to say I had a PS2 then gave in early and bought the 360 not too long after it came out. Went over a year with no problems then I got the 3 red lights, sent it off, got a replacement and within a month of having this one it got the red lights as well. I also had to send it in one more time after that. I got a PS3 last year for xmas and I haven't really played it that much until just recently. A lot of people say 360 has the better games, to me they only have the Gears of War series and Left 4 Dead, and all the others you can find on PS3 as well.
I honestly think if they both came out at the same time I wouldn't even have a 360. The PS3 dashboard is awesome and clean unlike the new version 360 dashboard. Plus the blu-ray player.
I like them both though and i'm glad I got both but if I had to go with one now today it would be PS3..

There was pretty much the same thing in the general section a while ago....last time I had checked it was 26 to 26.

Yeah, but fortunately most of the people on the FB boards are at least relatively civil. On the BB/General thread it seemed to end up with feelings hurt, friendships ended and death threats issued.
