Yadier Molina of the St. Louis Cardinals has plenty of free time on his hands now that his team is out of the playoffs -- and he might be spending some of that time in a courtroom.

According to a lawsuit filed in New York, Molina -- who is widely considered to be the best defensive catcher in baseball -- is being sued by Steiner Sports Marketing for allegedly taking $90,660 to do autograph events ... then never showing up to do them.

Steiner is seeking damages in excess of $175,000

Yadi- Show up to signings that he was paid for???????? It is hard enough for him to run to first base. Maybe Larussa was driving Molina to a signing the night he passed out drunk behind the wheel. This can be the basis of Yadi's defense.

No, I am NOT a Mets fan.

Those are team balls which the team distributes for different reasons. It has nothing to do with getting paid for shows and not showing up.

rumor has it that Molina was there to sign, but the person who was handing him all the balls was Matt Holliday ....each one fell and rolled away

I know that.. he was just signing in the clubhouse as most of the guys did yesterday..Well at least your not a METS fan. Since you have no love for my Yadi I thought you were a Mets fan who was still ticked about his "MONSTER SHOT HR" (i say that with much sarcasim) in the 06 NLCS.
No worries!! :)

Im a Cardinal fan and a Cowboy fan..that Holliday drop will stick with me as long as the Romo mishandling of the field goal against Seattle!!! Could of been either guy handing Yadi the balls!! ::facepalm::

if Steiner getting this money means that they will be able to afford to ship my special (credit card charged, no emails asking for Yankee Season Ticket code, order status approved, no tracking or marked as shipped) then Yadi give them back their money, even if he signed 9000 autographs I don't see how Steiner would have made money on a $90k deal!
