Don't know what i think of this. He was pretty good when he played for the Yankees, but he is injury prone. Seems to be a one year deal. Wonder if this means they have given up on trying to sign Damon. And why did they sign Johnson for about one million less then Matsui? I would much rather to have Matsui then Johnson.

Johnson being a million less than Matsui isn't the issue. Signing him to bat in the 2nd spot with a phenomenal OBP ahead of Tex and A-Rod is great, and saves them the $11 mil a year Damon wants. I like the move.

WTF is Cashman thinking? Are you serious? Nick F-in Johnson? Why? Why? Why? What does he really bring to the table for the Yanks? Oh god, if they are resigning old players, does that mean that Pavano and some of the other yo-yo's are on their way back to the Bronx?

The guy had a .426 OBP last year. Give him a little more credit. He is the perfect one year fit for this team.

Doesn't he play 1st?

He'd be the DH for sure.

2 spot against lefty pitching
5 spot against righty pitching

Granderson will be...

2 spot against righty pitching
5 spot against lefty pitching
