About time, Yao was way too injury prone and just taking up a roster space the past few years. The Rockets seemed to do better without him slowing down the offense. Great player but his body just couldn't take it.

I feel bad for big men in the league, Bynum, Ming, Oden, Sabonis, etc... who are more prone to leg injuries. In retrospect, Shaq was blessed with great health.
