You guys ever hit up any Frontier League games?

Got 4 box seat tickets for Monday to watch the Gateway Grizzlies play the Southern Illinois Miners in Marion Illinois.

Just curious if anyone around here has a Frontier League team around them.


Danny Almonte has pitched for the Miners. As well as D'Backs reliever Clay Zvada. There have been several Miner players signed on to the Cardinals, Yankees and Mets, etc.

It's pretty neat to have an Independent baseball league team just 20 miles down the interstate.

I've gone to two Rockford Riverhawks games this year. Was a fun time - play area for the kids was a hit. Average stadium, nothing fancy. Caliber of play wasn't too great. But I did enjoy the giveaways (they are doing Dawson, Sosa and Grace bobblehead dates this year)! Was impressed they even gave a bobblehead to my 1 year old even though he didn't require a ticket.

My favorite moment was when a foul ball was hit, the sound guy played the seagulls saying "Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!" from Finding Nemo. Totally appropriate!

I have gone to quite a few Washington Wild Things games. the games are always good and the atmosphere of minor league baseball is fun and entertaining.
