I'm fine with them using cuts if it's a living player that they can't/won't sign to an autograph deal for some reason. Considering Topps had several Seaver autos in 2013 there's no excuse for this one. Save the cuts for when he's dead.

Isn't the set using the 1965 design this year? Why is Seaver even in this set? Of all of the things mentioned in this thread, that is the one that bothers me. A cut auto subset in Heritage should be of players who played in the year of the original design.

The Seaver auto is definitely an authentic early 70's example. The use of it for this card is questionable.

The Tim McCarver is laughable.
