To narrow it down to one 2016 pick-up I'd say it's this White Sox lineup card from the 8/5/14 game against the Rangers. Down 15-0 to the Rangers in the top of the 9th Inning, Robin Ventura let Adam Dunn make his MLB pitching debut (1 walk, 2 hits, 1 run, 9.00 ERA). I have it up on a wall and chuckle when I see the change moving Dunn from "DH" to "1".

This 1998 Topps Sports Cubz has to be my favorite pickup.

There are only 5 prototypes known to exist.

This was an absolutely incredible ttm return from George Culver. He threw a no-hitter for the Reds in 1968. I sent him a letter asking if I could send a baseball and he said yes. This is my return baseball

Your post inspired me to send a ball to Mr. Culver. He signed mine in much the same manner as yours, but didn't include the score. I also got a 1965 Topps and a 1974 Topps card signed as well.

Thanks for letting people know about this. It is a very cool ball to add to my collection.

Lots of stuff I liked this year, since I switched just to just caring about quality rather than quantity a couple of years ago.

These two were some of the biggest - it's hard to find any more Brandon Webb cards (not exactly a market there these days), but was able to pick up these two 1/1's this year, plus two printing plates and a handful of higher numbered stuff I didn't have. Probably added 12 Webb's in 2016, which is pretty good these days. Hopefully people start unloading their Webb's eventually.

2006 Bowman Heritage Black 1/1 and 2007 Bowman Sterling Red Refractor 1/1

This was also a huge one - finally got to join the Flair 1/1 club:

And two of my favorite Goldy's for the year:

Flair/Fleer Showcase did 1/1's better than anyone IMO.
