Everyone who collected Hockey cards as a kid, had a favorite card. It could have been a favorite player or a card that had sentimental value.
One of my favorites as a kid was the Ron Hextall Rookie Card. The card came out the fall after Ron Hextall won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Even though the Oilers won Lord Stanley, Hextall's great play gave him the Conn Smythe. Growing up in Calgary, me and my friends absolutely hated the Edmonton Oilers and Ron Hextall was our great hope, that he would knock the Oilers off if they meet in the finals again. Hextall's Rookie Card was as good as gold for a couple years in the late 80's.
So what was your favorite Hockey card as a kid???
