Although I'm not done buying, I'll say Zach Lee with Sterling under $10 for a potential top 10 prospect next year. And I have your blue refractor auto on my watchlist Phil ;)

He may get a little extra hype due to his decision to play baseball too if he has a great year. Those dual sport athletes always seem to get that bit of extra hype.

This may seem a little silly since his base Chrome Autos get about $20 these days, but Jarrod Parker is an elite prospect with elite potential, yet he isn't selling like it and never has. I think Chrome Autos will get to $40 this year pretty easily, if not more.

Interesting thought.

I agree about Parker's prospects but how many pitching prospects have maintained Chrome Base Autos at $40+?

Strasburg - due to the once in a generation kind of pitches he is the owner of...
Teheran - is there right now being a Brave doesn't hurt
Kershaw
Price - has been there at times, $30-$35 right now

who else?

Chapman is at like 37-45 right now with what I think room to grow considering his stuff. Has any pitcher ever really hit 100.00+ Chrome Auto?

I'm going to have trouble getting on board with Josh Sale, since he's #81ish and selling for what he is ($22ish base chrome autos).

Matzek I agree - [phil:13k3eugg]150567213683[/phil:13k3eugg] - Refractor Autos /500 are still around $35 and sterlings are $10ish.

I think Betances is probably about where he should be, check out this recent blue autos sale [phil:13k3eugg]230591601353[/phil:13k3eugg] I would have a tough time calling that undervalued.

Joba was well-above $100 for a good portion of 2007-2008.

Taillon is pushing $40 right now before he has even thrown a pitch, and Shelby Miller is around $30 and is quickly rising (he was at $12-$17 a month or two ago).

Good point though. Other than that, I can't really think any off the top of my head. Then again, Hellickson, Moore, Drabek, Britton, and Turner are five top pitching prospects who do not (yet) have Chrome Autos. I think all of those guys would be in the $35-$50 range, with Hellickson probably higher.

I think Parker is a strong buy right now because he is probably better than every single one of the guys I just listed above (except maybe Taillon down the road a few years), yet he sells for significantly less than those guys do (or likely would if they had a Chrome Auto).

That's a big increase in Shelby Miller. I think we will soon see the rise of chrome autos for pitchers esp with all the talent that is out there.

His last Elite Auto /100 sold for [phil:2bg9gxqf]120687354408[/phil:2bg9gxqf] - $66 and his ITG stuff is selling rather well - [phil:2bg9gxqf]360347342294[/phil:2bg9gxqf] - you still think he's undervalued?

Based on previous Sox prospects, yes. Ranaudo is the "sexy" pick for prospects, as Iglesias' glove work won't be as widely accepted in the hobby as a POTENTIAL front end power starter. I will say the Sweet Spot Autographs look nice from ITG, as do the bat autos, but Ranaudos other releases from ITG look too "Just" or "Tristar" for me.

Agree completely with your thoughts around the ITG autos...will be interesting to see if Ranuado can move up from what are already pretty lofty prices.

I think that the Elite release has the POTENTIAL to skyrocket. His base auto in Elite was a redemption, and it is SPd to 150, and including the Collegiate patches set, he has roughly 445 Elite autographs. Combine that with ITG being an "inferior" release in the eyes of prospectors, and nothing out of Topps and UD, and Ranaudo's Elite can really climb.

I'm done buying, and got in very early. I am still waiting for 3 Emerald Sigs /25, and two Sigs /100. I was outbid on the one and only Gold Status redemption that came up early, which now would be considered a steal. I believe it may be in the Panini Redemption Center of Jaypers.

haha! I would imagine JP has his own rep at the redemption center.

1) I own no Golds of Ranaudo or any other Gold EEE redemption.
2) I am the last person on this planet to get back redemptions from Panini.

Speaking of Iglesias I feel he is greatly undervalued.

He is the red Sox SS of the future and will finally solidify the position, and he only has 1 2010 Auto and it is the Bowman Chrome. When he makes it to the big club this is without a question the card to own
