For me its Roy Halladay. Leads league in innings pitch 230+ (signifcant over Wainwright and Ubaldo). Has most wins 19 in NL and lowest ERA of the three and leads NL in strike outs (well till Lincecum next pitches). Who is yours?

latos has been very impressive this season. but his era is only a few points under wainwright and halladay. i had wainwright winning it for a long time.

Hitting 20 wins should wrap it up for Doc. 28 walks in 234 IP? That's just ridiculous. Leads the NL in K's, CG, IP, Wins.

Latos has been great, but he's only been allowed to go an average of 6.17 innings.

Ubaldo is at 6.75. Wainwright 6.96. Halladay is at 7.6. When you can't count on wins consistantly and the ERAs are so close, you've got to measure by the contribution a guy has to the games he's in. I voted Halladay.

For me its Doc, but if Latos gets 2-3 more wins and leads the league in ERA and whip he has a shot.

Halladay i think is the reason why the phillies are going to the playoffs. Take him out he's and i don't think they make it.

I have Halladay but Jimenez' splits should put him higher than most will give him credit for. His home park kills him 2.3 ERA on the road, 3.2 at home.

I agree with you on Wainwright, however to play devil's advocate Roy's last 5 starts haven't been exactly cy-young caliber either (3-2 with a 4.41 ERA) The difference is that even during those 5 mediocre starts Roy has been the benefactor of great run support by his offense. Surprisingly none of the major Cy candidates have really stepped it up in September to take hold of the award like we've been used to seeing. At this point I believe it's as up in the air as it's ever been and I firmly believe that whoever pitches the best from this point forward (approx. 3 starts left for each pitcher) will get the award.
