if heyward wasn't in the league, this guy is the front runner as far as hitters/position players go.

you have to throw ike davis in there.

I think Ike will put it very solid numbers year in an year out. He could very well end up being the best player out of this years rookies but prob wont win ROY award.

There is a ZERO % chance the he becomes the best player in this rookie class. I think at best you are looking at Adam Laroche type numbers, and more likely Lyle Overbay, 20 HR 80 RBI per year. Obviously this is just my opinion.

skrip

I think he will be a consistent mid to upper 20 HR's an close to 95-105 RBI's a year. Those are solid numbers that most players would be happy with. He will make a All-Star game or 2 but that is another story entirely.

Definitely Heyward. He's already the best hitter in the Braves lineup. He'll probably end up with 30 HR's and 100 RBI, a .275+ avg, not to mention he currently boasts a .990 OPS. Screw pitchers, they only play once every 5 days. As far as I'm concerned, pitchers should never win MVP's or ROY's. They have the Cy Young for a reason and there should be a pitcher ROY added.

Mike Leake made the jump directly to the major leagues as a starting pitcher. He has been flat out filthy. He SHOULD win but Heyward WILL win if that makes sense.

If Heyward wins, well deserved but I think what Leake is doing is more impressive.
