Guy is 21, pitching very well as of late in AAA, potential to blow up in Yankee market, 89-91 with the sinking two seam, good change, potential strikeout pitch with the slider, runs it up to 93 with four-seamer.

Dominated AA as a 20 year old.

Obviously, I could be wrong, but I think if he stays, his cards have just an absurd amount of potential. Honestly, even if he doesn't stay, if he pitches well his cards could see a spike.

Anyone care to play devil's advocate?

He has a limited ceiling, and isn't really dazzling

He kinda lulls you to sleep.

I have a ton of cards though.

I can definitely understand that. I just think a few quality starts in NY would do wonders for his stuff.

i have a stash of him too. He is ok, not great. He is another #4-5 type starter. I think we get excited too quickly with prospects and except them to follow in the footstep of previous studs. He is not Phil Hughes or Joba Chamberlain.

at $4-$5 per chrome auto, he is a good buy.

The buy-in risk for McCallister is so low that even if he does well in a bullpen role his stuff will increase. I'd say McCallister is a strong buy right now.

Ive been buying his stuff since 2006 because they have always been real cheap and because hes a Yankee.

All he needs is ONE good outing in the bigs and his cards will go up. If he continues to produce with the team, his cards will skyrocket.

And with Vasquez doing his best Oliver Perez copy, I wouldnt be shocked to see him up before September.
