I picked up a good number of his 2007 autos before this season started because I felt that he was overshadowed in the Yankees system by other pitchers for a couple of years and it looks like his cards are finally starting to take off. To any prospectors, what do you think of McAllister's potential both in the hobby and when he reaches the majors?

Love the kid. I'm not a prospector, but I have picked up a few of his cards. Having a great market like he does is a major plus.

I am a big fan of Zach and think he has been under the radar and under appreciated for a while now. Mcallister is in the biggest market in baseball and since other hyped pitching prospects in their system like Dellin and Brackman have had there ups and downs and had injury problems i really think Zach is one of the better pitching prospects in all of baseball because if you look at his entire minor league career up until now it has been very consistent and productive. I am not saying he is in the top elite level or top of the 2nd group by any stretch but i do think he is a very solid and very good prospect.

In terms of his hobby love i think people have actually started to take notice as a Base chrome auto sold for like 15-17 dollars and ax Xfractor auto got 40 dollars on a live auction.

To sum up i think this durable kid has a very bright future

He's putting up some really nice lines this year. I have no idea why his cards aren't getting any love. I wish my guys were having half the season he's had so far.

I honestly didn't know he was pitching so well. Sometimes I avoid "prospecting" Yankees and Red Sox pitching prospects because I just assume they are all going to be overpriced. In this case I think McAllister cards are under priced even if he wasn't on the Yankees.

Everything i own of him was bought at NY shows and the prices were so cheap it was amazing.

The Riverlands.
I go to Trenton on a regular basis and I can tell you that he is the real deal. He holds runners on effecitvely and his fastbal sits in the low 90s at about 94 on a good day. His 6'5'' frame is perfect for his ability. If he keeps pitching he way he is, he may be in AAA by the start of August if not sooner.

I've been prospecting/collecting him ever since I met and saw him pitch in short season ball. I've got a pretty nice stash of 06 parallels and some chrome autos.

He has been good for a while, he gets overlooked a lot, I still have 2 2006 Bowman chrome gold refs that I bought from Jimmy like 2 years ago...

it isn't like his production hasn't warranted a price increase.

Like Joe Smith?

Yup, like him. I'm not saying I don't do it myself, but it's quite the podium for prospect hyping no doubt.

it only works when the facts are genuinely there to support an opinion.

Zach Mcallister is having a very very good year. As did Joe Smith when his cards spiked.
