One thing they were talking about on MLB channel, is that AZ doesn't have a state income tax where CA does.. so he will get more $$ even if the contract was the same as one in CA..

Glad to see the D-Backs outsnipe the Dodgers and the Giants..

We have income tax, it may be lower than CA, but not sure what they are talking about if they said we don't.

This is the 2nd time I've read someone mention no state income tax. AZ definitely has income tax albeit lower than CA (but not hard to be lower than CA). I think someone has mixed up Nevada with Arizona.

AK(actually get $ to live there), FL, TX, SD, WA, NV, WY are the 7 with no income tax and NH and TN I guess only tax some types of income but not all.

I moved from WA to CA and took a 10% hit due to state income taxes let alone the cost of living here vs where I lived..

I had a 3 bedroom house in Puyallup and my house payment with everything thrown in (insur, etc) was $650 a month.. now in Irvine I am living in a 2 bedroom apartment and it's $2100 a month..

I think I will be moving when I retire..

I live in California but I've lived in Texas, I'm more than willing to have higher taxes and cost of living to live here. Greinke is nuts
