um wow! If a Buhner sells for $250, what in the world would a Jeter go for LOL... over $1k I'm sure.
All I know is that I'm glad I could get it into Be8eL0VE's collection

I guess it makes me want to bust out my non-proof
I just looked back at my paypal account on the Jeter cost LOL........................... OMG!!!
The football proofs are not all that hard to find. Not sure how that translates to baseball, if at all.
I contend $250 is on the low end.
I don't think I understand the high price tag either. clarkfan's triple crown of Albert Belle Crusade Executive Proofs aren't even getting a bite, and they are from one of the most popular and most recognizable insert sets of all time. They also don't look washed out like the Finest cards do. It's just odd to me just how different valuations are on similar issues. Is it that Finest was a higher end product? Is it that this Finest is clearly recognizable as being different from the other Gold Atomics from the front (as an Executive Proof)? Is it that there is proof out there that more than one set of Executive Proofs for the Crusade exist? Is my player comparison a bad one? Who knows... not me

Here is the list of beautifulness I bought yesterday at the show. @predatorkj @MansGame @RStadlerASU22 @Brewer Andy
I'm of the same mindset. I'd go after a McGwire if it came up, but no where near as high as I usually go for rare McGwire cards. I don't even have that version on my McGwire card list to obtain, as it's just an uncut sheet someone took a pair of scissors to. I have always held the stance that a person with a pair or scissors won't dictate what is a variation or not. I apply that rule to every issue, but run across it more commonly with the " jumbo proofs" where someone simply cut the cards out larger than standard size, or the 1991 Cracker Jack "4-1" variation that is also just cut from a previously uncut sheet. Different strokes for different folks as they say.
