Does PSA or BGS Slab Uncirculated/Encapsulated Cards?

I don't mean breaking the card out of the factory encased shell and having the card slabbed,
I mean , actually slabbing the already encapsulated factory shell.

I have this insanely rare and highly faked Ed Reed Chrome Rookie.
It's by far one of his rarest rookies with a print run of less then 10.

The Topps sticker on the bottom of shell is key identifier as the fakes just say
"uncirculated" or something even more bogus and counterfeit.

I would definately love to have the thing encased in a BGS or PSA holder with just
A "authentic" label on it.

Has anyone had something like this done or ever seen an Uncirculated card
Slabbed before ?

I've never seen it done, but if you called and got ahold of the right person and sent it directly to them I'd say you have a shot.

I seriously doubt it.

In order to produce a plastic clam shell to encase it, an injection mold would have to be created, and an injection mold of this size would be about $5000 per piece, or $10000 total for this shell.

I don't think BGS or PSA would invest that kind of money in a slab shell for which they would rarely use. However, I know that BGS slabs magazines, so it may fit in one of those. Of course, it would look pretty ridiculous and be huge.
