There was a lonely hobby box (24 packs) of 1996 Studio with a $15 sticker on it at a card show I went to this weekend. Dealer took $10 for it - cheap break for me. Here are the inserts. Piazza is numbered to /5000. Appier is a gold press proof /500, Smith and Smoltz bronze /2000.

Okay, so who won the ABCD winner or screwed long enough with the seller to have him change the auction 47 times and get totally confused to the point where he sold it off line? It was really entertaining to watch actually. I'm sure it was someone here... come out come out where ever you are.

You just ruined my week with this post. How did I not see that auction? God I want that card. How long was auction up?

Well, guess you didn't really ruin my week, when I just bought this. It's so shiny.

gracecollector - He started the auction at $0.99 and it ran for the first 5 days of a 7 day auction... then pulled it down and started it at $84.99 auction... then pulled it down and went BIN at $85... then pulled it down and went back to $0.99 auction... then pulled it down and went to BIN with like $8,599 auction or something...

This was like the most F'ed up day for this card/auction I've ever seen... it was so crazy that I couldn't even keep up with it... every time I saw a new auction it was already taken down. The guy selling it was actually selling for someone else I guess. He said he was getting messages for $50 and $60 and he said the seller would probably let it go for like $85 but he wanted to runt he auction anyways... I was going to pull the trigger on it but then it just vanished and the seller just started acting like a 7 year old and wouldn't tell me what happened... he was telling me the guy he was selling it for was yelling at him like a marine haha

Either way, what a disaster. I figured actually you got him to sell it off eBay... figured someone on here did. Either way $ was probably left on the table but who knows.
