Great post. The modern hobby has become too complicated to give a simple answer.

Does this player sign TTM? If so, the signed larger items will have more value as they will be more rare. Do they only sign at games? This makes the opposite true. While they still will have more signed cards, there will be a perceived scarcity of them because of the high demand vs. low supply.

Do they only sign at shows? Did they only sign in AA and now refuse to sign anything for any price? Do you think they might one day change that policy? Is their RC hard to come by for any real or perceived reason? Do they usually personalize items? Do they refuse to sign certain items? Certain cards?

I honestly could keep going. To really answer this question you would need to give a specific player to get an accurate answer.
