Since 2015 my main project (most of the time) has been this collection of Pittsburgh Pirates autographed cards spanning the years 1970 through 1979.

My order of signature preference is:
1. Certified auto, Pirates card, 70s vintage design
2. Certified auto, Pirates card
3. Vintage Pirates card
4. Vintage Pirates minor league card
5. Pirates cut signature card
6. Custom Pirates card
7. Custom Pirates cut auto card

Although I need a signed standard-sized card to consider an individual "done", I do have autos on other items and may show some of those, too.

My needs are down to about a dozen players and coaches, with some "optional" non-player/manager/coach individuals whom I'd like to grab up as well.

I'll start in alphabetical order with Ed Acosta, who appeared in three games for the Pirates in 1970. He signed his RC and this custom TTM in 2020.

Matt Alexander is one of my favorite Pirates of all time. Holds the MLB records for most stolen bases, most runs scored, and most appearances as pinch-runner. When he did appear at the plate for the Bucs, he batted .444 and slugged .566. The Topps cards were TTM.

Here's Gene Alley. I picked up the 1972 Topps as part of a big trade with a member of The Bench; Alley is a good TTM signer even today at age 82.

Vern Law and Matty Alou were Pirate teammates for two years. Matty's only certified Topps autos as a Pirate are 1/1 cuts in 2016 and 2017 Heritage. Alou had an auto in the 2005 Topps Retired Signature Edition, but as a Giant. He passed in 2011.

The postcard was an inexpensive eBay pickup and the 1967 Topps was a later acquisition from ABC Unlimited.

Tony Armas has such a beautiful signature that it's difficult to resist picking up more of his cards whenever I see them. I have four or five others, including a 2004 Topps Retired Signatures, but I won't be showing them off in this Pirates thread. Here, I've got a 1977 Topps Venezuelan sticker, an ACV sticker, and a custom card, all via a Facebook contact in the Dominican who facilitates private signings in Latin America.

Dave Augustine played in 29 games with the Pirates in 1973 and 1974, and had a long minor league career. He signed his RC and this custom for me TTM in 2000.

Dale Berra. The picture is 4 x 5.5" and may be a team issue or from an in-person signing; it's been in my collection a long time and I'm not sure where I got it. The 1979 Topps is from a private signing by Silverback Sports.

My "friend" Kurt Bevacqua. The 1974T came in a trade with an SCN member.

I've also got a signed 1980 Topps card (Padres) available for trade/sale if anyone needs one.
