Added link to the 2010 collecting goals to the OP

I would like to complete 2 more years
1972
the Venezuelan Topps Stamp card will run between $500-$800.
The angels postcard will just be luck. I do not think I have ever seen 1 and have no idea what it looks like

1975
Angels Postcards 38, same as above
Hostess Twinkie 58, should be pretty easy to pick up
O-Pee-Chee, 7, S.Busby/Bosman/ HL, should be pretty easy to pick up
O-Pee-Chee, 312, S.Carlton LL, should be pretty easy to pick up

also would like to

cross off some 1973
Angels Postcards 26, I do not think I have ever seen 1 and have no idea what it looks like
Linnett Portraits 35, no idea on pricing but likely more than $300
Mets All-Time Ed Broder 9, I do not think I have ever seen 1 and have no idea what it looks like
O-Pee-Chee _ 67, should be pretty easy to pick up
O-Pee-Chee _ 220, should be pretty easy to pick up
Seven-Eleven Trading Cups 66, should be pretty easy to pick up
Topps Comics 18, not likely will cost over $3000 if any one is seen
Topps Pin-Ups 18, there is one on ebay for only $9500 ::facepalm::

Make it past the quarter finals in next years player collector contest.

Add 150 more different cards. Should put me up to about 2250 total different cards. I have 13 so far that will not be added until around April so that I can get the entire checklist for 2010.

Every Strasburg base rookie. Every Strasburg base on card auto. Another 2001 BC Pujols auto, which I'll sell shortly after because I realize I can't afford it (this has happened 7 different times). Every Mike Stanton base/base auto

(1) Reach 80% completion for Paul O'Neill (need ~40 more cards)
(2) Research 50s/60s Topps prices and start picking up vintage Yankees
(3) Start collecting 2001-now Topps & Bowman Heritage Yankees team sets
(4) Sort through and move all my Yankee dupes/commons
(5) Add a Bernie Williams and/or Derek Jeter auto to the PC
(6) Somehow get a Mariano Rivera PSA Basic Cards registry added to psacards.com
(7) Sell more than I spend

Make little piles out of big piles. I'm going to TRY and downsize a bit. I want to sell a bunch of small stuff and buy a Jackie Robinson autograph.

Also continue chipping away at my 2001, 2003, and 2004 Fabric of the game sets.

Keep looking for the 2001 Upper Deck Hall of Famers Drysdale jersey card.

Keep looking for the 2001 Fleer Greats of the Game autograph of Willie Mays.

Keep looking for the Mike Schmidt 2000 Fleer Greats of the Game autograph.

Also looking for an affordable 1998 Donruss Significant Signature autograph of Koufax with the Brooklyn hat. I have the LA version.

After seeing how great the cards look I think I'm gonna try and put together the Cubs players from the 1969 set being such a memorbale season for my Dad and hearing so much about I think it would be fun. If you happen to have any sitting in the MCG pm and I will happily trade away what I have as all I care about are cubs cards.

1) complete my Cliff Lee rainbows (mainly need the Superfractors, like most of you rainbow chasers) and maybe build a website

2) only pick up a set or two to complete

3) stop ripping wax here and there to try and hit the jackpot...

4) provide sigs/banners to fellow FCBers who request them :)

I still haven't obtained my 2010 collecting goal yet (Honus Wagner or Cy Young autograhed item), so I really haven't thought too much about 2011 yet. I've nailed some other nice autographs this year (Nap Lajoie, Eppa Rixey, had a third Babe Ruth autograph briefly), but need to get Young or Wagner by 12/31 to get the job done. Then I can think about 2011.

Edited.

Not sure if I will be in the hobby for the long haul next year, so I don't have any goals for next year anymore.

Might pop back in this thread and post some goals later next year, if I still have the hobby fever.

How much did that Eppa Rixey set you back? I havent even looked into them so you could tell me anything. I know he went to UVa and is the only ACC player to be in the HOF

My goals:

3. Get 75 TTM's

wow, are they that easy? do you go after veterans or prospects mostly?

I am trying to get 100 cards this school year, I am a 4th of the way done with about a 4th of the year done. If you are willing to put the time, cost, and research in, it can be pretty fun!
