Not necessarily. I believe that update was from late last-night/early morning, while MLBTR said that Kenny Williams is working on something big as of 10AM this morning. Edwin Jackson is probably included, but there's still a chance the three way deal with Adam Dunn could happen.

If Markakis is available, the Rays need to land him. If we could get Markakis instead of Dunn for a comparable package, that would be awesome. Give me a guy who can play the field, run, and hit instead of a DH. A trade would give Markakis a good jolt because he'd actually be playing for something outside of April and May.

I was a big fan of E-Jax when he was with Detroit because he has great stuff, most notably an upper 90s fastball that touches triple digits and maintains late into games.

I think he could really help the Sox if that's the direction they're going. Adds some good depth to their rotation which will be big if they do end up making the playoffs.

If Markakis is available, the Rays need to land him. If we could get Markakis instead of Dunn for a comparable package, that would be awesome. Don't count on it. Friedman is perfectly content to sit on his hands and not do a damn thing to improve his chances of making it to the postseason.

I cant understand why Jennings hasnt been called up with Zobrist and Upton hurt. Gabe Kapler cant be the answer if the injuries linger.` Call Jennings up and bat him 8th for a series and see how he does....

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that White Sox general manager Ken Williams "has something big cooking."

Originally, Cowley indicated that the trade for Edwin Jackson could be off, but now he reports that the trade could still happen, independent of what Williams is working on right now. According to Cowley, that deal is just being delayed while Williams "tries to shock the world." Either way, Cowley is told that there's "zero" chance that Daniel Hudson will make his scheduled start against the A's on Friday.
