Nah there's a rule that only people in the Seattle metro area can start the thread.

Only 1 card today but it's a 1/1:

110122-1.jpg 110122-2.jpg
2011 Bowman Chrome Gold Canary Diamond Brett Anderson 1/1. Goes well with my Trevor Cahill from the same set. It'd be neat to find the Superfractor for this one, I have his 2008 Chrome Draft and 2009 Chrome RC Supers. The 2011 Bowman Chrome Supers with the white border look pretty nice. I think 2011 was the only year they did the Canary cards in Bowman Chrome? I know they did them in 2012 Bowman Sterling as well. They have a different neat look, too bad they stopped making them.

Another big mailday.

110422-1.jpg
These are all team set completers! The biggest is the tough Series 2 1995 Upper Deck Electric Diamond Gold Ruben Sierra. Both 1998 Flair Showcase Legacy cards are the legit ones, not backdoored. There are only 3 players in the team set (Grieve, Stairs, and Jason Giambi) but each player has 4 cards, so a total of 12 cards to complete the set. 1997 Score White Border Artist's Proof Mark McGwire. 1999 UD Encore F/X Gold Jason Giambi 042/125. And 2003 Topps Chrome Black Refractor Mark Ellis 172/199.

110422-2.jpg
Excited to find a couple of 1999 UD MVP Gold Script cards, 094/100 and 028/100. Only one remaining for the team set!

110422-3.jpg
A bunch of Pacific stuff. Two 1997 Pacific Silver parallels put me one away from that team set, but McGwire is the one I'm missing. Olmedo Saenz 85/99 puts me one away for 1999 Revolution Shadow Series. Still a little ways to go on 2000 Pacific Platinum Blue, but the 3 shown from the 1999 set means I have only 2 left for that one. Sadly one is Rickey Henderson.

110422-4.jpg
One away for both 2001 Donruss Classics Timeless Tributes/100 and 2000 Topps HD Platinum/99. There are actually only 2 cards in the HD Platinum team set, but they are super hard to find for some reason. Also very difficult is 2002 Donruss Fan Club Credits/100, I think I'm about halfway there. Another tough one, 2001 Topps Stars Onyx/99, still need 3.

110422-5.jpg
4 cards from 2003 Fleer Fall Classics Championship Gold/50. Reggie is actually numbered 50/50 and Catfish is 01/50. I still need a few for this one.

110422-6.jpg 110422-7.jpg
Lastly a nice dual-sided card. 1997 Donruss Limited Exposure Giambi/Canseco. Very tough to track down. There's a refractor line but at least it's on the Giambi side. I still need a couple of even tougher McGwires from this set.

Got a bit lucky today. Bought a few sets of these as they had Julio, Trout and Rickey. I landed an image variation (left) and a red parallel 1/5 (right).

Have seen a few of these posters. Kind of like Sports Feats folders, but huge! Grabbed Gossage s-l1600-1.jpg

Expanding my club memorabilia collection with a new team/item. Not sure what else, if anything, the Pirates offered to be in their club. This is a small patch, about the size of a baseball card. s-l1600-2.jpg

1997 Flair Showcase Row 0 Legacy Jason Giambi 020/100. There are 5 A's in 1997 Flair Showcase - I have all 3 Legacy "rows" for Giambi, Geronimo Berroa, and Scott Brosius, one Canseco, and none of the McGwires. 1998 Bowman Chrome Golden Anniversary Kenny Rogers 39/50, still need 5 for that set. 2002 UD 40-Man Electric Rainbow Mike Fyhrie 07/40, down to 7 left for that large set. 1999 Bowman Gold Brett Laxton 04/99, only need two more cheap ones for that set - I already have the big card, a Tim Hudson RC.

110522-2.jpg
1998 Athletes in Action (churchy card) Trent Dilfer - these are very difficult to find and I already had one but it was signed so this is a downgrade that's an upgrade. 2013 Topps Camo Josh Donaldson 36/99, need 5 more for that set. And a 2022 Pristine Autograph Miguel Tejada. The only A's left for me in this set are Canseco and Rickey Henderson. Not a set I want to pay Rickey Henderson autograph dollars to complete so I'll call it a day after picking up a Canseco.

Lost power most of the day yesterday, so no post until now.

Guy 25.jpg
This Guy /25 was timely. He passed away between the time I won it and the time I received it. Still the only punter in the BF HOF I believe. Weird, are there really no other punters who should be enshrined? I know it's a somewhat specialized and limited position, but its part of the game.

This was a dupe, but I really like this set. Jenkins /25. Jenkins 25.jpg

If you are anything like me, when you see something you want from an ebay seller, you check out other listings. Always nice to saw on shipping, especially these day! As it turns out, the 2 autographs I had been eyeballing I didn't win, but got these 2 other cards. I think I did pretty well, especially the Bagwell from what I could find.

The Betts (mini version) was around $3.25 and the Bagwell was $1! The Bagwell is from what is apparently the hardest level base card to get, then the die cut blue parallel is also apparently the hardest parallel to get. The seller didn't list the card details very well and I don't recall, something like Executive level die cut? This was always a somewhat confusing issue. I saw one listed on comc for $60. I don't use that as value, but no others were listed, so it's not a common card.

T206 Harry Krause pitching pose puts me 2 away from the team set! And any player or team collector probably realizes how tough to find the Topps Pristine Refractor parallels for the various game-used sets are. This Tim Hudson from 2004 is 06/25.

110922-2.jpg
A haul of 2007 Topps Black cards out of Series 1, 2, and Update. That gets my needs down to 3 for that set...but two of those are the Matt Olson and Matt Chapman RCs.

110922-3.jpg
1999 Paramount Holo-Silver 23/99 Eric Chavez and 2014 Topps Chrome Red Refractor 19/25 Sonny Gray complete those team sets. 2004 Leaf Certifdied Mirror Bat Blue Tejada 10/50 and 2010 Finest Gold Refractor Matt Carson 41/50 get me one away from those two team sets.

110922-4.jpg
Several more recent cards, including a 2020 Select '93 Retro Materials Tri-Color Eckersley 18/49 and a 2022 Topps Independence Day Marte 39/76. I dug the couple of years the Select Tri-Color cards had a purple/teal/silver motif, but then they switched it to red white and blue which is kind of overdone unless it's pulled off in an interesting way (which it's not).
