I've always liked the Baseball Thrills subset, thought the photography/art work on them was usually grainy looking.

2 new pick-ups. Couldn't pass up a 70's hof'er in NM shape for a whole .71 + $1.00 shipping! Also got a nicely centered '71 Ryan in real nice shape.

Awesome, congrats! McDougald was a great ballplayer, playing above average defense at 3 IF positions. Not too shabby with the bat, either. Sadly he is probably only known for his line drive to end Herb Scores career.

Had a question for the folks in this forum. Since I just started the '53 Bowman collection (posted in the Baseball forum, will soon get a running "pick up" thread in this one for it), I've been watching for a Pee Wee Reese PSA and have the chance to pick up an 8. Question is, what's a good/fair price on that?
Thanks

EDIT: though maybe I should start that new thread and ask there....

You would be looking at around $1000+ for a PSA 8 copy, but if you can get one for less than go for it. How's the centering on it?

$1000 would be a fair offer, maybe even a slight bit more....but I doubt the seller would accept that. He's probably looking $1200+, but hey it wouldn't hurt to try, right?

Nice pickups gentlemen. Yep, still love exhibits. After I finish my Braves '57 graded set I'm going to have a hard time not trying to snag a lower grade '64 Mantle. I've always loved that card

Grabbed these this week
