Thanks for sharing. As a Red Sox fax (I was 16 in 1986) I saw that rally and the Mets differently then. Over the years since, I really have come to appreciate players - and people - like Gary Carter. It is a terrible loss for his family and the baseball community. But, we are all certainly richer for seeing and, for the lucky ones, knowing him.
