whats the deal with these?

started collecting 90s inserts a while back but never really got into these sets

for this year and the 97 are these numbered /30, or just SP'd to 30 and have there been backdoor/fake problems etc?

The card you are looking at in the auction is actually the 1996 Select Certified MIRROR GOLD /30 that was mistakenly inserted into boxes of Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts, after they were backdoored, stamped with the 20th Anniversary logo, washed, sent overseas, repositioned in Canada by way of an overpriced ocean liner, and ended up in Burbank's inventories after sitting in customs for over two years. Not rare, but not easy to get. George Calfras only has about a dozen of each player, and Deliciousbacon has been picking up about 30 per week on COMC... Backdoored? No. But boy, do they have a story to tell...
