Bob Feller museum visit.

Had to go to des Moines for work today and on the trip home decided to get some gas in van meter ia. The home of the van meter heater.. Rapid rob. I took a tour with a young lady who has worked there for 16 years. She shared some great knowledge and it was a great experience. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to stay for long but I was impressed. If you get a chance check it out!

When I lived in Iowa City, I hit the Feller Museum and the John Wayne Birthplace.

I still haven't gone to the dukes birth place. My wife wants to see some bridges in Madison county so we might make a big day of it. I also haven't been to the field of dreams.

I plan to visit this sometime soon. Also going to Field of Dreams in a couple of weeks. I have a Feller auto that I need to get framed and hung on my wall. Met and talked to him a few times. He was great to talk to and very very nice and sincere.

Been there 3 or 4 times. First time I met Feller and Lasorda. Second time was Ozzie Smith. Then Yogi Berra. Also did a card show at the high school there where I met Ralph Kiner.

As for the field of dreams you will like it bring a bat, glove and a ball and play a game while you are there......Hopefully you still can play there I heard they owner is trying to sell it. Since it is actually split on 2 different pieces of property.....
