Here is information about the 1947 Menko set....

Would love to go after all the others from this issue. This card was the 1st I have seen on EBAY in a couple of years. Amazing that it arrived from Japan in a week.

Very sweet card!

I often wish the Twins were around for that era so I could add some sweet vintage to my collection. I know the original Senators were before they moved to Minnesota, but that seems like cheating.

George- thanks, I like it a lot... ;)

Craig- I hear ya, what about old Minneapolis Millers stuff? I know you know Ted played for them. It's getting harder for me to find items that I need for this player collection. A few biggies still out there that are big bucks.

Thanks Dave!!! I love adding truly odd and vintage stuff to my Williams collection. He clearly was a an American icon.

The biggie for me is the '54 Wilson Franks card. May be a while before I can pony up. PSA 1's are listed at $1,000.00. I am slowly but surely picking away at the obscure lesser known issued cards of Ted.

Enjoy the week!!

There's an idea! The St. Paul Saints also had guys like Duke Snider come through, and I'm almost positive Willie Mays spent time with the Millers.

I may need to look into that.

Nice card! Are you going to have it graded?

Many thanks........if I slabbed all my vinatge cards it would cost a fortune. As it is, I am working towards authenticating and slabbing my autographed HOF index card collection and that has proven to be quite an endeavor.
