First HOF announcement I've watched. Congrats to these guys and looking forward to see who gets in next year with JUNIOR

Pedro's ego must have taken a serious knock when seeing the Big Unit got 6% more of the vote.

I feel badly for the other guys who didn't make it this year. Many are deserving to be in with them this year.

Biggio almost the same amount of votes as Smoltz? What a miss there, also Piazza missed by about 5%, not happy with this ballot but obviously Pedro and the Unit well deserved and Smoltz too of course. Really surprised by Biggio.

This is the first time in 60 years that the Baseball Writers' Association of America voted in four players in a single year since selecting Joe DiMaggio, Gabby Hartnett, Ted Lyons and Dazzy Vance in 1955.

Here's an interesting tidbit.

Just read that Smoltz is the first player to have Tommy John surgery to get inducted.

I enjoyed the interview with Pedro.. Hi-lite for me was when they asked him who the toughest batter he faced in his career, and he answered Edgar Martinez..

Just watched the interviews with Smoltz and Biggio.. "Smoltz - I was knitting a sweater waiting for the call.. " :p

mlbn said that Johnson is the tallest player and Pedro the first to be born in the 70s to make the hof.

Pedro might be the shortest, caught that part late.

I can't argue with them but Biggio gets in and Jeff Kent gets zero love? It seem more like a popularity contest of bitter writers. This whole HOF voting needs revamping
