RIPKEN REPLACEMENT JUST ARRIVED!!

Have these 2 redemptions at Donruss waiting to be filled since November:

Josh Vitters 2008 Donruss Threads Diamond Kings Signatures /10
Josh Vitters 2008 Donruss Threads Diamond Kings Material Signatures /10

They are "Still Waiting for the Stickers to be returned"
They offered a "comparable value" replacement.
I asked what their comparable value would be and sent them to a link to ebay completed auctions link.
No reply on the value I'd get, but I mentioned I collected Ripken and was offered this:

Ripken 2008 Donruss Threads Dual Material Auto /25
(CS service valued this Ripken at $300-$350 .... :lol: )
Anyways, I'm assuming they are plain swatches as the prime patches of this card are /10.
(NOT the card I'll be getting, but same card, plain swatches /25)

What do you think, take the Ripken and run, or hold out for the Vitters.
Anyone think these Vitters have any upside??

*FYI: Purchased Both Vitters Redemptions last OCT for $9.99 a piece....

I can't imagine that this is even debatable from a collecting standpoint.

But if you think you can get more money by flipping Vitters then hold out.

Figure that Ripken is worth $80 minimum imo, that would be a 300% ROI on the Vitters. It would be impossible to turn that down if i was you, unless you think those Vitters are currently $40+ each right now

Thanks all.
I pretty much already knew I was going to take their offer.

THought I'd see what the Prospectors thought of the Vitter's. I know he's hot right now, and even though it's a "second" year card, he has limited auto's and these had a low print run. It's still confusing that Donruss can't find 20 Vitter's Stickers in inventory. He WAS in EEE after all.

Will post a pic of the Ripken when she arrives.

Just received another email/message from the redemption department at Donruss.....

"I was able to find the prime version. Would you be interested in that card as replacement for both redemptions? "

Done deal. Did that as I was typing the update.
They already emailed/messaged me back saying it would be in the mail this week.
Will post scans next weekend when I get home....

Nice coming home gift.. wooooo.
