Yes, the Astros are in town, but I'm referring to the fact that they can't finish the game because a swarm of bees has invaded the left-field ball girl's chair! She wasn't stung, but I'm sitting here watching to see if they do something stupid instead of waiting for a beekeeper.

During the delay the Astros announcers were doing some bee trivia.

One of the questions was when did bees first appear on earth?

Jim Deshaies answer was the beginning of the Cretaceous period about 140 million years ago... or about the same time the Cubs won their last world series!

JD cracks me up.

Anyone ever see a 52 minute delay because of bees?

They said there were a couple thousand bees in that girl's jacket. That's nuts.

how's that possible?! Need to see a video of this.

It was nuts. I've never seen anything like it in my life. When the bee keeper brought out the can of industrial raid there was a mound of dead bees. Amazing and disgusting all at once.

How did 1000+ bees end up in the stadium, let alone in a person's jacket? Haha.

watch mlb network for a while or espn news and I'm sure they'll show replays. Maybe they'll even play JD's crack on the cubs. :D

And it was several thousand... not just 1k.

It's ok, you don't have to get defensive.

Well she was a quite attractive blonde...

Seriously though, I was laughing when the grounds crew came out with a large trash bag and a roll of duct tape. I saw bad things in those guys' imminent future. I guess common sense won out...

I bet it was just a joke they were playing on one of the new guys. No way they would seriously let someone do that. The liability would have been through the roof.
