What do you guy think of this comp, when Reyes is healthy he is a monster.
Not a great assesment. Mccutchen will not steal as many bases and he will hit way more homeruns. Mccutchen is going to develop into a 25-35 homerun hitter.

Really you think that he will that much pop. Wow, is he the next Barry Bonds before the Giants days?

He projected to be that when he was in the minors. That was always the comparison. I think he will be with a little less power.

He'll never get as much hobby love being a Pirate.

He might be the Yankees future centerfielder IMO. Give or take 5 years or so.

Why do people always say this about a team's young star?

No offense, but that is a little bit of a reach. 15-20 is more realistic.

Because it's happened with basically all the good PIT players. Things do look like they might change there though.

15 - 20 out of the lead off spot is fantastic.

add in the fact that he is a vacuum out in CF, he's something special.
ive been a fan of his since 2006

Bob Uecker compared McCutchen to a young Hank Aaron and remember Uecker played with Aaron in the 60's. McCutchen just hit a bomb to center for a double.

And it is likely the power numbers will rise over the next 5 years. He is going to be a really good player for a long time.
I don't think he will be leaving Pittsburgh too soon either.
