The Rockies win the opener against the Red Sox, and have Ubaldo on the mound tomorrow.

Let's make this like that series against the Yankees in '07...

When did Jason Vargas get good?

Dang Josh Hamilton is amazing.

Justin Upton is about to go on a TEAR!

I can't believe Jon Lester lost that game.

Kershaw is absolutely cruisin as of late.

The 2006 4th round pick by the New York Yankees, Colin Curtis, collected his first MLB hit. 2-run double.

I know for me personally, I love seeing when rookies collect their first MLB hit. The reaction from the families and players are great.

Andy Pettitte looked brilliant - 7 IP 7 H 2 R 2 BB 7 K
Arod hit his 9th homer of the season as the Yankees have collected 12 hits so far.

Yankees will, baring any HUGE comeback by the D-backs, gain a 1 game lead on every single team in the AL East after TB, TOR, BAL, and BOS all lost.

Didn't realize that Curtis had cancer in the past.

I do remember his walkoff HR in spring training though!

Yea, he overcame testicular cancer as a teenager. Another good story.

By the way, maybe being in a hotter atmosphere has helped Joba, consistantly touching 97-98 with his FB tonight. Good to see. Looked fantastic.
