Hello TTM and IP Collectors! If you are thinking of building a web site for your card collection, let me offer my services. If this sounds like a commercial I apologize, but I can definitely save you some money if you are wondering how to build a site. There are many, many overpriced web hosting services out there. Make sure you shop around and get the best price for what you need.
I host web sites and can register and set up an account for you in 1 day. I charge $5 per month for the basic account which start out with 50MB storage and 512MB bandwidth. Only 50MB, you ask!?! Read on. There are 5 levels of service, up to a maximum of $25/mo. Now, what if you need more than 50MB of storage space or more than 512MB bandwidth? Easy. With each account level, you have 5 "credits" with which you can to use to upgrade services at NO EXTRA COST. That means, if you need more storage, 1 credit gets you an extra 200MB of storage space. Or if you need more bandwidth, 1 credit gets you an extra 1024MB of bandwidth. How about more email accounts? 1 credit gets you 10 more email accounts. Using a credit does not increase your monthly cost. Once you need to use your 6th credit, then you automatically bump up to the next level which is $10 per month. Then $15, then $20, then the max at $25. So that's how the account levels work.
I charge $10 to register a domain, which you own, and all domains have a yearly renewal. If you would like to register a domain for more than 1 year, that is possible and we can work out a discount structure! I also can help with graphic design to customize your site and make it look cool!
Check out http://www.peterosecollector.com, http://www.timwakefieldcards.com, http://www.bighurthof.com, and http://www.astrosatoz.com. A couple of these are under construction since they are new, but these sites will give you a small idea of what your site could look like and what you can do to make your site look sweet!
Some benefits of hosting your site with me:
- First-hand access to the owner (me!) for quick support and troubleshooting by phone, email, or PM
- You have full control of editing your own site. Make it how you want it because you own it
- Easy-to-use web software that you use right through your browser... or you can use your own software like Dreamweaver, GoLive, etc.
- Customizable templates
- Your own control panel to access your traffic, hits, services, etc.
- Email, FTP, PHP, MySQL
- No more relying on photobucket to serve your images! Much, MUCH faster.
- Lots of extras! Blog software, content management, image galleries, etc.
That's just scraping the surface of what you get with the basic hosting account for $5 per month. There are lots of add-ons you can take advantage of! Do not overpay with other services, guys. I can save you some money and get you hooked up real fast. Believe me, I know there are free web hosting services out there and if that's what you decide, I wish you the best of luck and no hard feelings. This is just to make sure you know what other affordable options you have and what you get!
Thanks for the read.
