What's the diff. between a Fleer and a Fleer Update?

Update simply was another series that was typically printed in set form after most of the season was over. For example, the 1984 Fleer set did not have Gooden, Clemens or Puckett cards yet each player made their debut in 1984. Therefore, as the season progressed, Fleer (Topps did this too) made an "update" to their original set showing players in new uniforms after being traded or signed and players who didn't have a card...including rookies.

Oh i see. This is a lot like the "high series" cards in vintage
