I have done it twice now, and it is prompting me a third time. I just want to pay for an item. What is going on?

Ye it is https. It must be a glitch, because I am paying for the item on Ebay.rainmanesq said:does it say "https://" when you're signing in? could be a glitch in paypal (Clear your history/cache, shut the browser, retry) or a phishing attempt
I didn't click on an email.hoopster3977 said:Call PayPal customer service.
Otherwise send the email to: [email protected]. Someone is phishing your account.

I didn't get an e-mail asking me to do so, I was simply prompted to do so after I logged into Paypal, as part of some sort of random security protocol Paypal conducted, and I was one of the "chosen" ones. It wouldn't let me continue doing anything else on Paypal until I changed my password. I did. Everything was normal after that. Still using that same password since '09.
As long as you type in http://www.paypal.com and log in through there, if you get a message telling you to change your PW, it's legit.
This sounds like exactly what is happening. In fact I paid for an item earlier this morning without having to change my password. An hour later I was paying for a second item and that is when this started. I have to go to work, but I will see how the system is acting later. It is still not letting me log in.cmnkb8 said:I was asked to change my Paypal password once (back in 2009) when I tried to pay for something on Ebay.
