North Korea has a tough league.

Kim Jong Il actually simultaneously pitches AND catches himself, while throwing 110mph. He once struck himself out on the same pitch that he hit a 5 run home run. He's an amazing player.

Garko was never much of a player anyway. This should be good for his selfesteem at least.

Anyone that has ever played baseball knows that you have to be given enough of an opportunity to get into a groove to hit, which Garko really hasnt been given since he was injured in Cleveland. He has a lot of ability, but he hasnt had the drive to fight for a slot on a team. He CHOSE to play in Korea. He supposedly was offered more money to play there than a couple of ML teams that showed some interest.

Im not disappointed in his choice if it means he can get back to enjoying playing ball. At least it will mean fewer cards for me to look for. Its likely he will play a year or 2 and then get another ML offer and come back. Supposedly he may come back and Catch like he did when he was drafted.
