I'm curious to hear if anyone is near the price point to make this a good bust. Cases can be had right now for $450 and 1 case worth of wrappers sell for around $90. So the cost of the case is basically around $360 right now and if you purchase it on ebay with ebates/ebay bucks it comes down a bit more. I don't know what most of you do with your singles of base and veteran refractors and such but I have a buyer that pays around $125-150 per case for everything other than prospect refractors and autos. So for me I'm entering the case at about $210-220ish for all of the autos and refractors. Now granted it can still be a bad break, but for most people if they buy a case of Bowman Draft for $675 and get $500-550 in hits they would consider it a great break.

Not many cases of Bowman you can enter the case where worst case scenario is around $150 loss. I bust for the thrill, trade bait, and because my wife loves it. So for me its cheap entertainment.

The real question is how long this product has left at its current price. If I'm a dealer, I'm dumping as fast as possible as soon as the wrappers expire, the cases start selling in the $350-375 range as the wrappers were adding a ton of value. And long term with everything Strasburg being a redemption, the 2 most important pieces of the case (wrappers/stras) will be gone. I still think this is a great break at its current value with wrappers, but I can't see the product being over $25-30 a box in 3 years.

It will be worth more than $30/box in 3 years. 2008 Bowman Chrome, possibly the most watered down Chrome set of all time, boxes are selling for $45. 2010 has better autos, and a better base selection. Plus, a good portion of the original glut in supply will be depleted in 3 years. There's just no way they'll be $30 boxes in 3 years.

Even blowout currently sells BC 2010 at $40 a box. At one point it got down to $35 a box and with wrappers expiring, I see it hitting that point in August.

And by the way, 2009 BC is selling at $35 at blowout and I've won a handful of boxes in the mid 20's on ebay.

$30 is no way near unrealistic imo.

Of course, the price of a box will be influenced strongly by how some of the prospect autograph players play during the next 12 months. If Sano, Sanchez, Shelby Miller etc...start exploding during the minor league season or 1 or 2 players get called up in July, these boxes could easily go up higher (like 2007 Draft (Heyward), 2008 draft (Posey, Stanton) and 2009 draft (Trout) did last year.

I think $40 is a pretty stable price right now and nothing will change that until Spring training starts or the redemptions expire on July 31st

Well I just ordered 4 cases. Presold my base and veteran base refractors for $150 x4 for $600. And all of my wrappers are sold for $90 x4 for $360.

Paid $1800, base/wrappers for $960. Ebates/ebay bucks for $90 back.

So I'm busting 4 cases and keeping all of the autos/refractors for $750 total or $187.50 per case or $15.62 per box.

Thats a hell of a deal and should be a really fun rip @ $15.62 a box. Not much risk.

The guy I sell my base and such to is one of the larger beckett marketplace sellers so its a good deal for him as well.

as long as the people you are preselling to know it might be 10 days or more before you get the cases

I am thinking I will probably do a case of this myself, it's a fairly fun break and being able to sale the wrappers for $100 cuts down the risk with their being decent reward for the nicer pulls, probably will order from BO this week.

Cases will be delivered on Friday, but yes they are aware. This isnt through ebay and is local so its obviously no big deal.

Pulled the trigger on a case of this today...the last ebay auction for wrappers went for $103 and BO price is $465 so at $362 after wrappers I'm willing to take the risk, she be here at the end of this week or very beginning of next :D

I have never and will never buy from momma bear. 450 to 465 is the norm right now for case prices.

off ebay it is. nobody else has sold any for $450 through ebay since this thread started, and if you bought off ebay you're not getting ebay bucks/ebates obviously. either way something's not right with your story. just sayin.

i'm bright enough to understand that there is no record of anyone getting the deal you said you got in any current or recently closed auctions not involving mamma_bear. just pointing this out for the sake of anyone hoping for the same deal from a trusted seller. not really interested in making this personal.
