Yep, you read that right. Goin' old school

These packs have been collecting dust for years. I seem to recall buying them on eBay from a seller who was selling a bunch of partial boxes. Most likely pulled the good cards and was selling the rest of the packs from several boxes. I bought up a bunch of the packs for sets I was working on. I didn't put the 1996 set together so these packs hold the record for staying in my possession the longest without getting ripped. I'm home from work sick and now I'm bored... let the ripping begin.

Two packs and doubles in each pack. The doubles are next to each other in the pack. I guess I should ahev looked at a check list to see who I can hope to pull doubles of. Puckett would have been nice.

Easy on Matt Drews. He was a stud in high school he pitched for Sarasota High and led them to the mythical "National" championship. He was a #1pick for the Yankees in 93? and was who helped bring Cecil Fielder from Detroit to New York

Just did some quick reading on him. He started out as a stud and then had control problems and faded quickly. Too bad... wonder if it was injury or between the ears?

I'll scan now. It was a gimmick that Topps did back in the day. Basically you built the set and then mailed in the redemption type card along with $5 to register your set. If the set was below $100 in book value at a certin apoint in time, you could redeem your certificate for $100.
