I contacted a seller to clarify what was actually being sold in his auction. I then also asked him if I paid for it through Paypal right now, could he go any lower on the price, figuring since it was a high dollar item, it would save him some fees and we would both benefit.
He emails me back and says he couldn't lower the price, but could sell it to me for the same amount I saw through Paypal....because he just raised the price on the eBay auction by $50.
Not sure if he is doing it because he hadn't updated the prices of his 30 day listings or if he is trying to save fees and get the same amount of money.
Either way, I can still get what I want, but I thought that was an interesting practice. I could see others getting ticked off and not buying an item, but then again, it's his and he can do what he wants.
